Movie Show
Averaging 350 people at each event, the movie shows are an amazing success! Most villagers have not visited Kibale's interior, and are virtually unaware of the natural treasures in their own back yard. Showing nature films on the big screen is a great introduction to plants and animals from Uganda and around the world. Storytellers, singers and dancers join some of the events, making truly memorable experiences where people learn about wildlife in a fun way. (more about the movie show here)


Local kids helping publicize the wildlife video show around the village, while Haraka sets up the projector, dvd, speakers and amp. The equipment is powered by four big batteries, charged with power from the sun.

Many shows begin with a performance by one of the local Conservation Clubs, helping to attract and excite the crowd.

Up to 600 people will gather on Sunday nights in villages around Kibale NP to watch wildlife films. After nearly two years, large audiences. Gathering at sunset in a local field, National Geographic and BBC images transfix the crowd, filling the king-size screen with wildlife from Africa and around the globe.
