Sesbania sesban

Sesbania sesban, a tree native to Uganda, is prized locally for its fast growth and nitrogen fixing properties. If farmed properly, this tree can provide immense amounts of fuel wood, even on very small pieces of land.

Sesbania is planted in a border around the farm, utilizaing space wisely. We planted over 150 trees around our main demonstration area, without taking any space away from the crops.
